Eat / foodie / NoRa
Since my daughter was two, she’s had a cupcake for breakfast every birthday. It used to be a tricky thing to find (and I’m no baker). Nowadays, you can throw a rock and hit a cupcake, but there’s NOTHING out there like NoRa (named for its neighborhood in Middletown, North of Rapallo Ave.). These treats are more rock and roll than baby shower, and definitely geared to adults, not the toddler set.
Flavors rotate daily, but choose from house favorites like S’mores and Fluffernutter or the cocktail inspired Irish Car Bomb (Guinness infused chocolate cake with Jameson Ganache and Bailey’s cream cheese frosting) to savory Bacon and Maple. A vegan and gluten-free option is offered daily and a weight watching, point-based line is in the works (talk about having your cake and eating it, too!). Check facebook for daily offerings and go early. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
