So many of my favorite shops have cycled through the storefront at 21 Main (River, Peacock and Beale) and now Pough Interiors. But here’s the good news, Pough has moved down the street to BIGGER and BETTER digs at One Main Street. On the street level, you’ll find the curated “transitional” mix that they’re known for: oversized baluster lamps, masses of throw pillows, stacks of design books and exquisite furniture by Emerson et Cie, Vanguard and Somerset Bay.
Upstairs is a decorator’s dream library. Get comfy and browse through books of fabric and wallpaper from the likes of William Yeoward, Jane Churchill and Christian Lacroix. Find window treatments, wooden shades and hardware, lighting and furniture for a small project to an entire house. Design help is at the ready or feel free to DIY. Dennis Pough stopped by the house to help me solve a few teeny but nagging design decisions, which he did in minutes. I’m sure he can attend to yours. His clean, transitional style might just buff up my modern-to-antique (hodge-podge!) aesthetic. Pictured:family room design board for a current client.
