Spotted at Frock
I stopped in to see what the girls at Frock in Chester were up to and spied one of their customers sporting this fantastic ensemble. Trish stitched up the long hooded fleece zip-up; it’s not-quite-a-dress-not-quite-a-jacket, but simply the coziest thing to wrap yourself up in on on a chilly day! Trish’s designs are all about the details: the gathered hood is ingenious and makes a pretty collar; the seaming at the back lends long, lovely lines. You’ll pull this thing on for lazing in front of the fire or running around town. Several colors available, entirely handmade, $260 (not really epresentative of the pricing in the shop, most items are much less!). If you don’t know about Frock in Chester, it’s one of Connecticut’s most original clothing shops. Owners Trish Ginter and Laura Williams whip up all the inventory right there in the storefront. Better yet, if the skirt or dress you’re hankering for needs a tuck or hem, they’ll do it while you wait.
