We’re all photographers these days. It’s a snap to document our lives and make them look so much better than they really are, with just an iPhone and an arsenal of apps. But occasionally you need someone who actually knows what they’re doing. The Shoreline boasts an extraordinary cache of photographers (Kim Tyler, Amy Etra, Anna Sawin) just to name a few, but I was so astounded with the quality and quantity of photographs Ania Simpson shot of my daughter for her senior portrait, that I have to give her a shout out. She manages to capture the mood, whether it was the exuberance of the Insane Insidewalk Sale (if you missed the pix, click here) or, in my daughter’s case, that brief and precious moment between no-longer-girl and not-quite-woman. If you need wedding or kid pix, product or event documentation or a head shot, she’s your girl (and well-priced, one hour portrait sessions start at $300 including approximately 100 high resolution images on CD). Call or email Ania for further pricing and info:firstname.lastname@example.org, 860.389.74574everandever4.com p.s. see more of Ania’s work at a show at Diane Birdsall Gallery, opening April 5th.
