Fiddler on the Roof at the Goodspeed
Whether you know every lyric to Matchmaker or not, you must go to Fiddler on the Roof at the Goodspeed. It doesn’t matter if you’ve already seen the movie or the multi-Tony award winning play on Broadway (one of the longest running, ever!), it’s as relevant today as it was when originally staged fifty years ago. Themes of family, traditions, history, assimilation and finally, accepting change, are woven into this story about a small Jewish town in 19th century Czarist Russia. From Adam Heller as the perfect Tevye, to Jerome Robbins’ famous hat dance (YES, those are Dom Perignon bottles perched precariously on their heads and, NO, there is not a trick; see how it’s done here). This is one performance where everyone steals the show. A don’t miss for all ages. Through September 12th.
