Guilford Arts Center’s Annual Holiday Sale, thru January 3, 2015
Artistry is Guilford Arts Center’s Annual sale of fine art and crafts, featuring the works of over 200 American artisans. Peruse a wide-range of giftable goodies such as ceramics, candles, glass, fine art, metal, jewelry, fiber, wood, ornaments, cards, condiments, soap, leather, toys, and more. Antiques & Jewelry Appraisal, St. Joseph’s Parish Center, Chester, November 7
Ten professionals volunteer their time and expertise to the Chester Historical Society to help the public learn more about their antiques, attic “treasures,” silver, artwork, glassware, books, stamps, coins, as well as fine jewelry and vintage costume jewelry. Verbal appraisals are provided for a fee that goes directly to the Chester Historical Society to support the Chester Museum at The Mill and its programs. For more information, click here.

Holidaze: The Real Story of Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, November 8, 10-4:30pm
Explore the origins and myths of popular holidays at the Henry Whitfield State Museum in Guilford. Hands-on activities include trying on Halloween costumes, a trivia challenge, and writing letters to Santa. Visitors are encouraged to bring donations for UNICEF, the Guilford Food Bank, and Toys for Tots. Event runs Wednesdays – Sundays until December 13th. Mystic Restaurant Week, November 9-November 15

High Hopes Holiday Market, November 15, 12-4pm
High Hopes’ indoor arena will be transformed into a marketplace with over 60 booths featuring unique merchandise. Plus Connecticut’s hottest food truck vendors, a great raffle, door prizes, hay rides and lots of games and activities for the children. Madison Turkey Trot, November 26
Bring your family and walk or run before your Thanksgiving festivities at Hammonasset Beach State Park. All proceeds from the Sound Runner Madison Turkey Trot are donated to non-profit organizations along the Shoreline. The Run starts at 10 am and Walk starts at 10:05 am. Tellabration! at the Florence Griswold Museum, November 27, 11:30-4pm
Tellabration! is a Connecticut-born, world-wide celebration of storytelling. Every November, thousands of tellers and listeners gather across the globe to enjoy the age-old art of storytelling. This year, two tellers from the Connecticut Storytelling Center will present intriguing tales of holiday traditions around the world. Santa’s Trolley Winter Wonderland Opens, November 27, 10:30-7pm
Take a ride into the past at The Shore Line Trolley Museum and have your children visit with Santa. Inspect the antique trolleys decorated for the holidays. A Wonderful Life at Goodspeed
Watch Bedford Falls come alive with the magical tale of finding hope in your own hometown.
