Thrive with Dana Hilmer

According to Dana Hilmer, 80% of our thoughts are negative. Mine goes something like this: I’m fat. I’m too critical. I let everyone take advantage of me. I’m fat. I’m an imposter. I suck at business. I’m fat. Why did I eat the entire (family-size) bag of potato chips?  You get the picture. Perhaps it helps to know that I’m not alone, but it would be much better to find an effective way to banish the naysayer in my head.

Don’t get me wrong, I also have the positive voice that compels me to eat (mainly) healthfully, go to yoga, feel proud of my company, and good about my relationships. But that one doesn’t pipe up often. For those of us who need to lower the volume on the negativity, we can turn to Dana Hilmer and her Thrive Program. Years ago I attended a women’s workshop featuring Dana and I’ve kept in touch with her since. She’s a smarty pants and delivers a powerful message about how to take control of your life, figure out what you really want to do and how EXACTLY to get here. This isn’t namby pamby life coaching, her techniques work as well for executives as housewives. The Thrive Program, her upcoming workshop, is meant to be transformational. Dana will walk you through the steps in two two-hour workshops and a follow-up coaching call, to create lasting, positive change in your life. Who will benefit from Thrive? Whether you’re looking for a career or personal life pivot or launching a new business, you’ll focus on relying on your strengths (vs. overcoming your weaknesses), learning to see yourself through a lens of strength, and identifying your passions. Get ready for homework and some serious self examination, but these few hours could be just the ticket to move you closer to your goals.

Thrive: 5/31 and 6/7 from 6:30 to 8:30 at Savvy Tea Gourmet in Madison
