Every time I stopped at Mindy K.'s for a platter of summer rolls (go-to party hors d'oeuvres, click here), my daughter would run to Dharma Jewel, the shop next door, packed with Tibetan goodies. They've moved to larger digs in Westbrook and it's a bargain gift-hunters delight. Handknit wool hats and gloves in flashy colors (thoughtfully lined with fleece) are a ridiculous $10, stacks of pashminas in soft tones are $28, unisex, hooded snowflake sweaters (also lined in fleece) are $79. Sheets of handmade paper make great gift wrap or wallhangings at $2, and peruse the piles of prayer beads and necklaces or choose some loose stones to create your own. What a find!
