On a cold winter’s night, dinner in the bar at the Old Lyme Inn was a cozy refuge. I was sad to see it go. And sad again, to hear Cook’s Kitchen in Guilford was closing its doors. But how’s this for an imaginative collaboration? Cook’s Kitchen is offering their popular cooking classes, cooking parties and now, cooking weekends (yup, sleepovers!) at the Old Lyme Inn. Gather your group (any size accomodated) and choose your event: Dinner with Julia, Seasonal Food Celebration, Ethnic Foods, or devise your own. Prefer to stay home? Cook’s Kitchen will do the shopping and come to your house for a class. Contact Debbie Harris at Cookitchen@aol.com.
