Many years ago I was at a plastic surgeon having a mole removed, which of course I saw as a perfect opportunity to grill him on esthetic treatments. I had recently had a microdermabrasion (a relatively new therapy back then) hoping against hope that it would sandpaper my lines away. When I questioned him about it, he asked me what I thought about the result. I said it seemed like an extra strong facial. His reply was that “the more invasive the treatment, the better the result”. I’ve carried that with me for a long time, but apparently, it’s not quite true anymore. There are new therapies that do away with fine lines, double chins, and what have you (and I have!), that don’t involve an injection of chemicals.
