Whenever Bowl’d Creations food truck made an appearance at the Lyme Farmers’ Market I’d make a beeline over for a healthy breakfast. While the truck still roams the Shoreline, these days the partners have laid claim to an actual brick and mortar location and Madison is the better for it! Renamed Life Bowls, I ran over on opening day to get a fresh bowl of Playa Pitaya, a nutritious combo of hot pink pitaya (dragonfruit), mango, pineapple, and bananas, topped with coconut, kiwi, and granola. Not only is it quite like having an ice cream sundae for lunch, but the thing is also full of antioxidants, essential nutrients, fiber AND low in calories. Besides the menu of acai bowls and smoothies you know and love, they’re now offering a variety of toasts (yes, avocado), hot oat bowls with yummy toppings, and a Buddha Bowl brimming with quinoa, chickpeas, kale and, yes, avocado. You’ll find gluten-free and dairy-free options, plus absolutely everything is healthy, delish and insta-worthy, too.
