For nearly 25 years, Common Good Gardens has been growing vegetables in a half-acre plot tucked behind Grace Church in Old Saybrook. The beneficiaries are our food insecure neighbors. Volunteers have been working towards the mission of providing naturally grown produce, as well as collaborating with local farm stands to collect their surplus. In 2022, we delivered over 19,300 pounds to Shoreline Soup Kitchen’s and Pantries.
CGG is non-profit, totally powered by volunteers of all levels who work Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings beginning at 9 am, whenever it fits their schedule. Aside from gardening, volunteers are appreciated lending their expertise in PR, education, recruiting and driving. Can you help us?
