Erica Cirino: Writer, Artist, and Wildlife Rehabilitation

A FREE virtual program to serve girls, age 10-16, interested in studying the academic areas of STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics.

Erica Cirino is a writer, artist, and wildlife rehabilitator who explores the intersection of the human and non-human worlds. She is currently writing a book about the global plastic pollution crisis and her experiences covering the issue, documenting plastic pollution in nature, the latest science that measures the extent of the crisis, and new solutions that could prevent further ecological destruction and harm to wildlife.

STEAMgirls participants meet and speak with accomplished young women, learning first-hand about the career successes women are experiencing in all areas of STEAM; providing young girls with knowledge that may ignite their passion for the future.
