Fall is in the air and that means it’s time to mark your calendar for the Essex Board of Trade’s Scarecrow FestiFall. Starting on October 4th, there will be the Scarecrow Lamp-Post Presentation along the Main Streets of Essex, Centerbrook and Ivoryton. These scarecrows are created by Essex residents and businesses and will be hung on October 4th. Viewers are encouraged to vote for their favorite scarecrow and to submit their choice to one of four locations: J. Alden/Newbury Place, CT River Museum, Savour Café and Bakery and the Ivoryton Tavern.
