Workshops at Lyme Art Association

April 1 - July 29

Lyme Art Association has a full schedule of engaging workshops this spring and summer where artists can take their paintings to the next level. Ranging in length from two to five days, the Association offers various workshops throughout the year to accommodate a variety of schedules and skill levels. Instructors include member artists known for both their artistic skill and teaching ability.

Jeanne Carol Potter’s watercolor students will create unique seashore-themed shadowboxes; while, James Wisnowski provides painters with composition techniques good for in the studio or outdoors. For pastel lovers, practice color dynamics with Gigi Liverant or master animal portraiture with Karen Israel. In June, enjoy making lovely plein air paintings of peonies with Tatiana Yanovskaya-Sink. And for landscape lovers, artists are going to love our choices: get outside and paint impressionistic and emotive landscapes with John Traynor in May; and in July, students will enjoy an enriched painting experience with our hybrid workshops, which will include both Plein Air and studio components, taught by high-caliber award-winning artists: seascape and maritime painter Don Demers and Russian-American Contemporary Realism artist, Zufar Bikbov.
