One thing you have to say about Erica Sunshine, the brains behind Elle Design in Chester, is the girl does not sit still. Known for her modern aesthetic in interior design, her shop in Chester always showcased brands she relied on plus her own personal creations and vintage picks. These days, she’s teamed up with Adam Pipkin of Harvest Building Company to establish a community of makers in Chester. Whether you’re on the hunt for a perfect antique piece (LOVE the Biergarten table in the shop right now), full on interior design services, a renovation or new build (that’s where Adam comes in), or a browse in an adorable shop filled with handmade lovelies, you’ll find it here. Their ethos is sustainable, organic and vintage, with an emphasis on small independent artisans. You’ll find cork yoga mats, the most incredible soaps by Wild Medicine (filled with healing stones and crystals) that everyone I know will be getting for hostess gifts this summer, Whole Harmony of Haddam’s refreshing teas, Hartford Denim’s sturdy bags and lots more. I love that she’s turned her corner of Chester into a lifestyle shop with a big heart and sense of community. Go visit.
