It’s easy to miss this little gem of a vintage shop on the main drag in Deep River but if you love fashion, it’s definitely worth a visit. Now occupying the spot that’s housed everything from a skate shop to a yoga studio is Nostalgie. It’s owned and operated by Cathy, who’s passion for vintage fashion spans many decades and several locales including Alaska by way of Kansas City. Her commitment shows in her careful selection of vintage, antique, retro, and artisan clothing and accessories. Cathy takes extra care to ensure that each piece is restored, cleaned, steamed and thoughtfully hung on the racks. It’s fun to get lost in the rows of skirts, coats, and eveningwear. Plus her collection of bags, belts, and baubles – all reasonably priced.
The shop is open limited hours during the dark days of winter but check in on her blog for updates. There’s plenty of street parking moving down Main Street near the Deep River Public Library.
