SUMMARY:Cappella Cantorum Spring Concert features a Tribute to American Composers
DESCRIPTION:Join Cappella Cantorum for an exciting tribute to American composers and music genres in celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary! \nOn April 26\, the Cappella Cantorum Masterworks Chorus and Cappella Orchestra will perform Schubert’s Mass in G Major\, followed by a special program of music featuring American composers\, American music genres and early musical tributes to our young nation. The concert will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the beautiful and historic Andrews Memorial Auditorium at Clinton Town Hall (54 East Main Street\, Clinton). A complimentary reception will follow. \nThe Masterworks Chorus and Cappella Orchestra will be conducted by Music Director Dr. Irina Georgieva. Soloists include Megan Weikleenget (soprano)\, Charles Feierabend (tenor)\, and John Ong (bass). The Spring Concert is funded in part by grants from the Community Foundation of Middlesex County\, Essex Bank\, and the State of Connecticut/Office of the Arts. \nAdvance Purchase Tickets are now available online here\, by calling 860-532-0454 or through any chorus member ($16 for Students under 18 and $32 for Adults). Tickets may also be purchased at the door ($16 Students/$35 Adults) on the day of the performance\, subject to availability.
