No additional discounts apply. In-person only. \nFree admission to the current exhibition galleries: 5pm to 7pm\nExplore the Museum’s art exhibitions prior to the Midsummer Concert. \nFREE Annual Midsummer Festival Concert: 7pm to 9pm\nThe Mass-Conn-Fusion band draws its talent from both sides of the Massachusetts-Connecticut border. The seven-piece band features exciting vocals\, polished horns\, and funky rhythm section. Rock the banks of the Lieutenant River with this popular group\, enjoying the danceable sounds of Motown\, R&B\, Funk\, and Disco. Set features hits from the ’60s right up to today. \nGuests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs\, blankets\, and a picnic. Assorted food trucks will be available on site with local fare for purchase. \nOn Saturday\, the Old Lyme Arts District partners present a full day of family friendly activities. A classic car show\, local art vendors\, food trucks\, a community dog show\, a 5K road race\, live music\, and much more. \nSCHEDULE OF EVENTS – SATURDAY\, JULY 25 \nLocal vendors and food trucks onsite: 9am to 3pm\nShop unique\, locally created finds from artists and vendors\, and enjoy food for purchase from a variety of food trucks. \nFree admission to the Museum: 9am to 5pm\nExplore art exhibitions in the Krieble Galley and the art and history on view in the historic Griswold House. SUMMARY:Old Lyme Midsummer Festival
DESCRIPTION:Old Lyme’s Midsummer Festival celebrates the town’s artistic heritage with two days of festivities on July 25th and 26th! \nIt starts Friday night\, July 25th with an outdoor concert featuring the Mighty Soul Drivers from 7-9pm. Bring your chairs or blanket and get ready for this favorite party and dance band.  Bring a picnic or enjoy food vendor fare. \nThen on  Saturday\, July 26th enjoy town-wide activities\, starting with a mid-summer run at 8am.  Don’t miss the Lion’s Club annual Classic Car Show celebrating the classics\, the antiques\, and the exotic. Register your dog to compete in the Parading Paws Dog Show. Throughout the day enjoy art exhibitions and sales\, food trucks\, musical performances\, nonprofit organization fairs\, artisan fairs\, book signings\, talks\, and sales\, and hands-on kids’ activities. \nEnd the day with town-sponsored fireworks!  The Old Lyme Town Band will start playing at 7:30PM on the field between the Old Lyme Middle School and Old Lyme High School\, and the fireworks will begin shortly after 9PM. A shuttle bus will run\, starting at 7PM\, from the Old Lyme Marketplace parking lot (by The Bowerbird) to the Lyme-Old Lyme High School Bus Lane\, and back shortly after the conclusion of the fireworks. Their last run will be at 10:15PM from the school campus. \nRain Postponement date for the fireworks is Sunday July 27th if necessary and would be announced by Saturday morning. \nOld Lyme’s Midsummer Festival is produced by the Old Lyme Arts District. \nView the full schedule of events!
