I have a weakness for fabrics (dating back to my textile courses in college), especially hand-printed ones. Batiks, woodblock printing, and painting create dimension and texture on an otherwise flat surface. I spied this cotton yardage by Tribal Textiles at Total Design Source the other day, and the vibrant colorways scream summer. The company is one of the largest employers in a remote region of Zambia and is committed to providing sustainable employment, training, and a good working environment for its 100 employees.
