From classic country fairs and craft shows to oyster and strawberry fests, here’s our list of summer fairs and festivals:

River Fare, 6/6, June 6 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm, Kickoff Summer and join the Connecticut River Museum for RiverFare 2024, a Summer Soirée and Culinary Celebration! Delight in an evening of delicious food, wines, cocktails, music and more while enjoying the beautiful river views from the Museum’s front lawn. Local restaurants and caterers provide delectable samples of their culinary talents. Enjoy tastings from wineries and breweries of the Connecticut River Valley.

Arts Fusion Festival, 6/8 Jazz, salsa and more at the Shops at Yale in New Haven.

Beer’d Brewing 2024 Summer Block Party, Groton, 6/1, 6/8, 6/22, 12pm, Craft beer, live music, food, games and good times. 

Lyman Orchards Strawberry Festival, 6/15, There’s no sweeter way to celebrate the start of summer than with pick your own strawberries, live music, food trucks, wagon rides, pie eating contests, face painting and henna.

Essex Summer Arts Festival, 6/15-6/16, Arts Center Killingworth and Spectrum Gallery present this fair on the Essex Town Green.

Olde Mistick Village Art Show, 6/15, 6/16, 7/27, 7/28,8/31, 9/1 and 9/2 Fiber art, jewelry, paintings and more.

The E List and Saybrook Home are throwing a Summer Solstice Girls’ Night Out on June 20th! Meet us at Aspen for 1/2 price wine and to pick up your sticker to qualify for 20% off discount, food and cocktail speciials all over town! New this year: a trolley will loop from Saybrook Home to Saybook Point.

Celebrate Saybrook Street Party, 6/23, Join Main Street businesses and street vendors when Main Street will be shutdown and filled with live music, delicious food, local craft beer, a mix of vendors and lots of family fun.

The Wooden Boat Show at the Mystic Seaport, Mystic, 6/28 – 6/30, The largest gathering of wooden boats and enthusiasts in New England converge at Mystic Seaport Museum.

International Festival of Arts & Ideas New Haven thru 6/29, A city wide festival featuring concerts on the Green, dance performances, story telling, tours, lectures, comedy, drag, food vendors and more. 

Farm Fest at White Gate Farm, East Lyme, Starting June 29th, 3 – 7pm, the last Saturday of the month. This free gathering returns with fresh from the wood-fired oven pizzas, live music, sushi and more! BYOB is welcome. The farm stand stays open during Farm Fest until 7 pm.

CT Historic Gardens Day, 6/23, Enjoy gardens and outdoor festivities at a multitude of venues throughout Connecticut.

Niantic Arts & Crafts Show, 7/6-7/7, Presenting New England’s finest artists and crafters displaying their creations on the East Lyme Town Hall grounds.

FloatSwella, 7/13, A pop-up paddle-craft only rally on the Mystic River featuring Bands and a DJ on a floating stage.

Guilford Craft Expo, 7/19-7/21, Over 170 modern makers from across the country will display and sell their fine craft in a variety of media.

Celebrate East Lyme Festival, 7/20, Niantic’s Main Street transforms into a spectacular celebration by the sea, filled with food, fun and fabulous activities for everyone in the family.

Midsummer Festival, in Old Lyme on 7/27, Art sales, food vendors, live music, dog parade and so much more. The annual concert on the banks of the Lieutenant River at the Florence Griswold Museum is on Friday, 7/26 featuring Locomotion.

North Branford Potato & Corn Festival, 8/2-8/4, Indulge in everything from kettle corn to curly fries plus rides and fireworks. 

Stonington Village Fair, 8/3, Live bands, flowers, baked goods and more at this annual event.

Madison Arts and Crafts Fair, 8/10, 100 crafters on the Madison Green.

Mystic Outdoor Arts Festival, 8/10 & 8/11, A juried showcase of over 200 artists from around the country in downtown Mystic.

Hamburg Fair, 8/16 -8/18, This intimate family friendly fair showcases many agricultural fair traditions while highlighting top local music talent and entertainment.

Milford Oyster Festival, 8/17, Celebrateing 50 years of FUN with a great line up of bands (featuring Little Feat and In Living Color), arts and crafts, children’s activities, canoe and kayak races, amusement rides,  great food, craft beer and wine, and OYSTERS.

Chester Fair, 8/23-8/25, Since 1877, a local favorite with lots of food, rides and exhibits.

Clinton Summerfest & Fireworks, 8/24, A beer garden, lots of food, kids’ activities, fireworks and so much more.

Wadsworth Mansion Open Air Market & Festival, 8/25, The historic Mansion transforms into a marketplace and festival featuring Connecticut grown or made products.

Haddam Neck Fair, 8/30-9/2, From skillet throwing to truck pulls, this fair has it all.

Guilford Fair, 9/20-9/22, Don’t miss Connecticut’s 2nd oldest agricultural fair.

Durham Fair, 9/26-9/29, Live entertainment on four stages, rides, games and lots of food.
