DESCRIPTION:Drama Works Theatre Company\, 323 Boston Post Road in Old Saybrook\, continuing its support of new works by local playwrights\, will be presenting the world premiere of Laura Thomas’ new play\, “Magpie” on Friday and Saturday September 9th and 10th at 7:30 PM and the 11th at 3:00 PM. Laura\, a Connecticut resident\, is an internationally published playwright. Her work has been developed at Chicago Dramatists\, Cape May Stage\, Eden Prairie Players. Marist College\, Stage Door Theatre and Drama Works Theatre. She has been a playwright in residence at The Pawling Theatre Exchange\, where “Magpie” was developed. The story revolves around Maggie who\, with the help of her therapist she begins to develop her own story.
