SUMMARY:River Valley Art Tour 2021
DESCRIPTION:From an RV parked in Deep River\, to homes overlooking the Connecticut River\, the annual River Valley Art Tour (Sept. 18 and 19) winds through 22 Essex\, Chester and Deep River locations with works by 42 local artists. \nIn some instances\, artists are sharing a space so tour goers will be able to see the diverse work of several artists under one roof.  All art will be for sale\, and in many locations\, beverages and snacks will be served. \nDuring the tour weekend\, there is also work by all the tour artists on the walls of Essex Art Association Gallery\, 10 North Main St.\, and on Friday\, Sept. 17\, there will be a reception at the gallery from 5 to 7 p.m. with safely served food and drink. \nThe artists belong to River Valley Artists\, a loosely formed group of Chester\, Essex and Deep River artists (and a few others from neighboring towns) who also show at Earth and Fire Art Studio in Essex where you can see more of their work during the tour. \nThe tour runs both Saturday\, Sept. 18 and Sunday\, Sept. 19 from 10 to 5 p.m. Mask wearing is requested indoors. \nPlease see www.rivervalleyartists.com for a partial list of brochure locations plus the map\, list of artists and other information. DESCRIPTION:Essex Art Association presents its third exhibition of the summer season\, “Break Through\,” featuring over one hundred works in a variety of media by accomplished artists from across the state. Works by Laura Barr depicting shoreline themes and the beauty of the underwater world will be on view in the annex Gantner Gallery.
