SUMMARY:Community Outreach Workshops with Essex Winter Series
DESCRIPTION:Free and open-to-the-public community workshops offered by Essex Winter Series: Just after the March 9 concert season performance by Terra String Quartet – Harriet Langley (violin)\, Amelia Dietrich (violin)\, Chih-Ta Chen (viola) and Audrey Chen (cello) – these dynamic\, rising stars will begin a four-day Community Outreach residency with Essex Winter Series\, which will take them to senior communities and schools throughout Middlesex and New London counties. People in the community can take advantage of two free educational and entertaining sessions at open-to-the public events at the following venues: Essex Library Association on March 12 at 4 pm and\, in conjunction with the Community Music School String Ensemble\, the Essex Town Hall Auditorium on March 11 at 6 pm. Seating is limited. \nEWS Community Outreach is made possible thanks to funding in part by the ASP Trust\, Fenton Brown Circle\, Kitchings Family Foundation\, Essex Savings Bank CIP\, and the Community Foundation of Middlesex County\, through a grant made possible by the generosity of the Guilford Savings Bank Charitable Fund and St. Luke’s Home Fund.

The Friends of the Essex Library are holding a Contactless Puzzlemania Sale at the Essex Public Library\, from January 15 thru February 27. \nThere will be two rolling carts of pre-owned puzzles – in pristine condition and previously quarantined – available for purchase in the lobby of the Essex Library. Cash and checks accepted. The carts will be updated regularly – so shop early and often! \nThe Library – and the sale – adheres to all Covid rules for masks and social distance.
