DESCRIPTION:Guilford Craft Expo Brings 170+ American Artists & Makers to the Guilford Green\nShop unique handmade work at CT’s longest-running craft show \nCelebrate summer with the return of the Guilford Craft Expo! This 3-day event\, taking place July 14-16\, 2023 on the Guilford Green\, is one of the longest-running and renowned craft shows in the country. Over 170 acclaimed artists and makers from around the country will set up booths on the green\, showcasing the finest in contemporary and traditional craft. \nThe juried and curated Guilford Craft Expo has been an important event for artists to showcase their work and interact with the public. For over 60 years\, hundreds of local\, regional and national artists and makers have connected to thousands of shoppers eager to purchase unique works directly from the makers. This year’s event features fine craft in a variety of media\, including Clay\, Glass\, Leather\, Jewelry\, Wearable Fiber\, Fiber for the Home\, Metal\, Mixed Media\, Painting\, Photography\, Printmaking and Wood. There are also gourmet foods and specialties! \nThis year features 34 artists from Connecticut\, who specialize in fiber art\, clay\, leather making\, woodworking\, glass and jewelry. Other artists will travel in from around the country\, including Alabama\, California and North Carolina. \nPopular activities for the Guilford Craft Expo attendees include a Family Art Tent for young visitors and a silent auction of exhibitor-donated work. Attendees can enjoy a snack or meal in the food court\, which will also feature live musical entertainment throughout the weekend. \nThe Guilford Craft Expo is the Guilford Art Center’s single most important fundraiser\, providing proceeds that support all of its educational and community programming. \nThe Guilford Craft Expo 2023 Hours: *NEW THIS YEAR* Friday\, July 14\, 10am-6pm; Saturday\, July 15\, 10am-6pm; Sunday\, July 16\, 12-5pm. \nAdmission: Adults $10\, Seniors (65+) $9\, GAC members\, children under 16\, and active military FREE.
