DESCRIPTION:Did you know that in 2021 there were 241 victims of human trafficking in Connecticut? 86% were female\, and 67% lived with a parent or guardian. \nJoin Child and Family Agency of Southeastern CT as we explore human trafficking through a public health lens\, effective parameters of a community-based response to human trafficking\, and the role of the healthcare providers in the prevention\, treatment\, advocacy\, and aftercare for persons abused and exploited in trafficking with guest speaker Jessica Peck. \nDr. Jessica Peck will join us as we explore warning signs of trafficking\, how to report suspected trafficking\, and community support and response. \nFunding for this event comes in part by the Community Foundation of Southeastern CT. \nFor more information and to reserve a spot Click Here.   \n  \n
