Thanksgiving weekend isn’t just about shopping! Here’s a list of outdoor, cultural, and holiday events to enjoy with your family.

Field Days at Mystic Seaport, 11/26 – 11/28. Spend some time outdoors at the Seaport. Try your hand at a 19th-century lawn game, make a seasonally themed craft, explore the Museum grounds with a scavenger hunt activity, and learn about how Thanksgiving and the fall harvest were celebrated in the 19th-century. https://www.mysticseaport.org/events/field-days/

Mystic Lighted Boat Parade: 11/26. Following Santa arriving by tugboat and the lighting of the Mystic River Park Christmas tree, spectators flood both sides of the Mystic River to see the decorated and decked out boats pass by. https://thisismystic.com/event/lighted-boat-parade-2022/

The Henry Whitfield State Museum will be open on Thanksgiving Friday with self-guided tours of the Old Stone House and Guilford architecture exhibit, indoor and outdoor activity sheets for all ages, and holiday shopping in the museum gift shop. Tahqôk (Autumn) FEAST!
