The usual tourist shops line Watch Hill’s main drag, packed to the rafters with tee shirts and sunglasses. But here’s a few worth seeking out when you’ve had enough sun:
It’s always good news when my daughter and I both love the offerings, so we had plenty of fun at Christina Ltd. who does twisted preppy well. Lines like Free People, Lily Pulitzer, her own handstitched beach bags and vintage jeans along with a decent assortment of pick up and go gifts and accessories at kind pricepoints. In a rare moment of teenage togetherness, my daughter suggested the matching friendship bracelets for $4.50! Across the street, check out A Summer Place for beachy homegoods, from weathered bulletin boards and seaside cookbooks to bags of sunbleached shells. Tucked in the back of Seaport Studios is a trove of sun and wave resistant swimwear by the surf inspired Carve Designs.
