What are the sounds of summer to you? For some, it is the sound of the waves gently lapping on the shore or the birds calling to each other in the trees but for me it is the sweet melody of the circular saw, cutting out flats and the hammer pounding the pieces together. Those sounds are even more precious this year as the Ivoryton Playhouse has been soundless for so long.
This summer, to make up for a year of silence, our plan is to fill the theatre with music and laughter; with rounds applause and soft “ahhs” of appreciation; with nonsensical, madcap farce and moments of pure joy.
In short, the Ivoryton Playhouse is back! And we are ready to share our home with you once more so that we can experience together the whole gamut of human emotions and leave, content in the knowledge that we are not alone.
Can’t wait to see you at the Playhouse!
