Fabric folks are a strange lot, and I count myself among them. My heart literally races at the sight of a hand-printed Fortuny or Clarence House lush silk velvet. This lovely shop behind the Cooley Gallery in Lyme is known for (arguably) the best designer fabric selection on the Shoreline, and owner Rosemarie Padovano whips up the glam yardage into glorious pillows or, really, anything you can dream up. Stocked in the shop are pillow pairs ready to go for an instant decor upgrade, or these ridiculously adorable sachets stitched up from the remnants of Fortuny and the like, and filled with organic lavender. A unique and one-of-a-kind host/ess gift.
