Cinder and Salt
Named for the essence of a successful weekend – “the scent of campfire on your clothes and salt water on your skin”, this East Hartford print shop turns out the perfect tees and bags for such a weekend. Nautical-inspired, vintagey icons and/or witty comments printed on soft, yummy cotton are the works of founder and Creative Director, Rachel DeCavage. She started printing at ten, learning the ropes at her father’s commercial screenprinting company. These days, she and her team peddle their eco-friendly printed apparel and accessories at local Farmers’ Markets. They plan to open a retail location later this year. In the meantime, shop online or find them at Compass Rose in Chester.
