Connecticut Open House Day, now in its 19th year, is an annual event held on the second Saturday of June and more than 200 sites throughout the Nutmeg state will be open to the public.
Organized by the Connecticut Office of Tourism, the event is designed to showcase the state’s diverse mix of history, art, culture, nature and adventure experiences.
The event offers free or reduced admission to more than 60 attractions, including history, art and children’s museums, trains and trolleys and water sport retailers. The public will have access to more than 25 free tours to theaters and venues that are rarely open to the public as well as vineyards, breweries and distilleries. There will also be special offers events and giveaways to farms, shops and nature centers.
