“EVERYBODY COME ALONG FOR A RIDE”
With this exhibition local artist Brian Keith Stephens aims to celebrate the energy of community, togetherness with people and place which nurtured him from the beginnings of his career.
“This is a very special exhibition of mine, at the Sill House, the place where it all began. I remember the John Sill House as one of the most nurturing places, it used to serve as the library and the gallery for the Lyme Academy, where one could get completely enchanted by art history, where the time didn’t exist and the future was limitless.”
Stephens began artistic studies in his native Connecticut, continued in Paris and New York, to return full circle to the rural studio in Old Lyme. Over the past 20 years he has exhibited in Denmark, France, Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Italy and across the US.
