Cappella Cantorum Spring Concert: The Peacemakers

$17 – $32Cappella Cantorum presents its Spring Concert at First Church of Christ in Saybrook (366 Main Street, Old Saybrook) on Sunday, April 21, 3:00 p.m., featuring The Peacemakers by Karl Jenkins, “dedicated to the memory of all those who lost their lives during armed conflict, in particular innocent civilians.”
Drawing from religious texts and quotations by messengers of peace from around the world, Jenkins’ beautiful and inspirational work reminds us that the desire for peace is both universal and timeless.
Simon Holt, Artistic Director of Salt Marsh Opera and Music Director of Cappella Cantorum, will conduct the performance. The Cappella Cantorum Masterworks Chorus will be joined by soprano soloist Lisa Williamson, the Cappella Orchestra, and the Select Singers of Lyme-Old Lyme High School for this special event.
