Take two of the planet’s most adventurous and talented fiddlers and put them on the same stage and what you get is musical mastery at a level that’s almost unheard of.

Fire in the Kitchen presents Brittany Hass and Lena Jonsson at Deer Lake Preserve in Killingworth.  Brittany is already a legend as America’s most skilled fiddler, with improvisational skills that are off the charts, and the ability to play just about every style of music on the planet.Her style may be rooted in old-time, but she doesn’t rely on tired “flashy licks’ to get attention, she’s a violin geek’s dream in technical skills and creativity. Lena Jonsson has the same preeminent position in her native Sweden, and has won European equivalents of Grammys with her talents and creativity. Put the two together, and the results are absolutely inspirational.

The show will help raise money for Deer Lake Preserve (Brittany is a dedicated outdoorswoman, having summited Kilimanjaro with her fiddle to perform at the top of the continent.) and there will be a pizza truck there for dinner if you chose. Bring a beverage of your choice.
