The Friends’ Fall Book and Bake Sale, a major event on Guilford’s annual calendar, returns in full swing this September. Among the many offerings of the sale is an outstanding selection of books, DVDs, CDs, vinyl, puzzles, music, and ephemera. Over the past year dozens of volunteers have spent hundreds of hours curating and organizing thousands of donated items to make the sale a joy for shoppers.
Look for a superb selection of gently used books: fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks, and classics. Books on history, art, nature, sports, religion, health, wellness and so much more. Vintage items include books and paper ephemera. For children and teens, there are board books, chapter books, picture books, and classics; teens can also choose from a variety of young adult books.
Everything is in excellent condition and ready to purchase at unbeatable prices.
The Bake Sale (Saturday in the Lobby while supplies last) offers delicious home-baked treats.
On Sunday everything is half price.
Please bring your own bag or buy a reusable one from the Friends for $1.
All proceeds from the sale are used to support the Library—to buy books; sponsor programs for children, teens, and adults; purchase equipment, software, and hardware; and provide staff development.
In addition to the volunteer efforts of the Friends, the sale is supported by a generous grant from the Guilford Savings Bank and the Guilford Foundation.
The Library is located at 67 Park Street across from the Guilford Green.
