The Friends of the Guilford Free Library will hold their annual Holiday Sale on Friday, December 2, and Saturday, December 3. The sale will offer a superb selection for readers of all ages and is the perfect opportunity to give the gift of books. For children, there are holiday-themed books, hardcover picture books and classics. For adults, in addition to fiction and nonfiction, there are cookbooks, and books on history, art, nature, sports and gardening. Also, vintage books, DVDs, CDs, and holiday vinyl. Stocking stuffers for all ages include small books, puzzles and games. Everything is in pristine condition and priced to make your pocketbook rejoice.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, instrumentalists Mimi Dudley, Amanda Merrill, and Christine Cohen will perform (Friday morning) and the Camerata Singers from Adams School, directed by Dawn Emerman, will share seasonal favorites (early Friday afternoon). Cheerful artwork by preschoolers from the Guilford Center for Children will decorate the Lobby.
Proceeds from the sale directly support the Library – to help purchase books and equipment and sponsor programs and staff development. Bring your own shopping bag for buy one with the Friends’ logo for $1.
