The Friends of the Guilford Free Library will offer a sale of Vintage Books and Paper Ephemera on Friday, February 10, from 9am to 5pm. This one-day event will feature a curated section of children’s and adults’ vintage books dating from the late 19th century to the mid-20th century, as well as paper ephemera. Vintage books include hardback Modern Library editions, first editions; multi-volume sets, and classics in post-1945 reprinted editions. Among the paper ephemera are historic newspapers, magazines, movie posters, sheet music and theater and opera programs. The sale will take place in the Library’s Meeting Room, staged as an old-time used-book shop.
Proceeds from the sale support the Library’s book and non-book collections, its programs, and its staff. Bring your own shopping bag or buy one with the Friends’ logo for only $1.
