Holiday cocktails made with Highclere Castle London Dry Gin and with Cancion Tequila – both liquors owned locally – will be served at River Valley Artists’ holiday art show at Promethea Potters.
The show of small paintings and unique handcrafts fill the rooms of the old building, 68 Main St. which has been renovated into a pottery studio and gallery.
For those who stop by the afternoon of Saturday, Dec. 9 from 3 to 5 pm, River Valley Artists will be mixing a holiday drink made with Highclere Castle (where Downton Abbey was filmed) gin which is distilled in London with botanicals from the castles’ gardens and meadows. The gin, whose offices are in Essex, was founded by and is co-owned by Adam von Gootkin.
On Saturday, Dec. 16, Andy Verderame, the owner of Branford-based Cancion Tequila will be mixing cocktails at Promethea from 3 to 5 pm featuring his liquor made in small batches in Tequila, Mexico with blue agave from Jaliisco, Mexico.

The show is open Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 23 from 10 to 5 p.m.
