Join Mystic Aquarium in partnership with The Shipwright’s Daughter and Eating with the Ecosystems for an unforgettable evening celebrating the connection between our oceans, our food, and the future of New England’s coastal waters.
As part of our Tide to Table series, guests will enjoy an exclusive 20-minute preview of Episode 2, Tides of Change, from the PBS docuseries Ocean State: Rhode Island’s Wild Coast—a four-part documentary series directed and produced by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Tomas Koeck. This compelling episode explores winter in Southern New England, following rescue and research teams as they work tirelessly to protect animals in peril during one of the region’s most challenging seasons, including Mystic Aquarium’s very own Animal Rescue Team.
Following the screening, guests will take part in an engaging panel discussion featuring filmmaker Tomas Koeck, James Beard Award-winning Chef David Standridge, Mystic Aquarium Animal Rescue staff, and other local experts. Together, they will explore the delicate balance between sustainable seafood, the challenges facing marine wildlife in New England waters, and the innovative solutions helping to protect these vital ecosystems.
Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy an open bar and complimentary tastings from some of Mystic’s top chefs while connecting with fellow ocean advocates.
All proceeds from this event will support the critical research, conservation, and outreach efforts of Mystic Aquarium and Eating with the Ecosystem, helping to advance creative, community-driven solutions for preserving our coastal waters for generations to come.
