The first of 3 in a series of grilling classes by Chef Jenn- perfect for summer! Classes will include basic grilling techniques to sharpen your skills and grill maintenance (because a clean and well working grill is your summertime secret weapon). In our first class we will explore the tastes of South America… the flavors will be amazing!

Best Classic Cocktails for the Summer Season

Mixologist Tiffany Nevers and Nancy Kirkiles-Smith- instructor
Join mixology superstar Tiffany Nevers for this fantastic cocktail and tapas class under the Weekend Kitchen Tent. Tiffany will introduce us to classic cocktail making techniques and seasonal infusions featuring Wild Moon Liquors from the Hartford Flavor Company! What’s better than seasonal drinks with a local distillery- umm nothing! If you have ever had one of Tiffany’s cocktails at any of the places she has worked- they are spectacular! We will also have a flight tasting of the various liqueurs from Wild Moon. You will raise the bar on your own cocktails after this wonderful class!

We will pair these wonderful cocktails with a few plant-based tapas recipes that are easy to make and super delicious!

An Evening with Bob Florence- Founder of Moromi

We are thrilled to have Bob Florence under the Weekend Kitchen Tent to talk all things Shoyu… Bob is the Founder of Moromi, a Stonington CT based company making the most exquisite shoyu products anywhere!

Moromi, is dedicated to developing unique and flavorful food ingredients that help home and professional cooks create distinctive meals for their families and guests. their handcrafted seasonings are based on traditional fermentation techniques using koji and the natural microbiome to transform a variety of local ingredients into their unique sauces, seasonings, and condiments. They specialize in craft shoyu, seasonal soy sauces, fermented hot sauces, and miso.

During this special event Bob will tell us all about how this is done, the evolution of his company and the we will cook up a few recipes that feature his products.
