Jan is BACK at C&G!

One day last summer, Jan Cummings, owner of C&G, one of our favorite shops in Chester, had difficulty lifting her coffee cup to her lips. Within a week she discovered she had Guillain-Barre, a rare and serious syndrome that left her mainly paralyzed. It’s been a very long road to recovery and I was so excited to see her back in her shop. Her recuperation is ongoing, but she is so thankful to her friends, family and community for the support she’s received over the past year and is clearly thrilled to be back doing what she loves. The store looks wonderful for spring. Filled as always with the sort of wardrobe builders one can’t live without, like Equestrian’s perfectly fitting stretch pants, lots of lovely blouses, and detailed layering pieces with a tie here, a ruffle there. Jan’s well-trained buyer’s eye is consistent and you’ll find plenty you can’t pass up. This visit, several racks of midi to maxi dresses caught my eye, especially since some were outside of Jan’s usual palette of white, black and gray (from dusty pink to deep reds, colors that are easy to insert into a neutral wardrobe). Straw hats, comfy shoes and Lennon sunglasses (my latest preoccupation) round out the mix here. I hope you stop in to C&G, have a look around, and welcome Jan warmly back.  CGChester.com
