Johnnycake Center, Westerly
Treasure hunters might like a pass-through Westerly’s Johnnycake Center. This vast thrift store sells second-hand EVERYTHING at very low prices and provides social services and a food pantry to locals in need. You’ll find a good selection of small appliances (fondue pots and Keurigs!), plenty of frames, decent glassware, some furniture, and racks of clothing for all ages. I didn’t spend much time (it’s not my thing), but if I was shopping for a beach house or my daughter’s first apartment, there are treasures to be found. Buying second-hand is better for the environment, and here it helps those in need, too.
