Madison meets Malibu in this sunny new shop. Owner Kate McNellis has brought her many years of floral design to a brick and mortar filled with blooms, dried flowers, and an original selection of giftable goodies. As you peruse the shelves of Cali-inspired products, Kate can whip you up a stunning bouquet or tie up a bunch of dried flowers (I did both!). DIYers will be happy to visit the “stem bar” and create their own. Kate’s keen eye for an arrangement is far better than mine, so I left it to her. Other stuff I loved? The flower zodiac seed packets, Beach Powder that removes sand from skin (!), jalapeño and blood orange mixers (delish with a splash of tequila!), heavenly Vacation sunscreen that is literally the scent of summer, and some stunning ceramics (perfect for that bunch of peonies). Grab a basket to gather goods for a gift, or let Kate put one together for you. She’s still doing wedding and event florals, too. This place oozes Kate’s happy personality and is an inspiring stop.
