Don’t leave town without stopping next door at the Old Wethersfield Country Store. This shop specializes in Connecticut-made edibles and nostalgic candies – a winning combination if you ask me! You’ll find Summer Hill’s fantastic pot pies (the Thanksgiving version, loaded with turkey and stuffing is my favorite), pans of Di Fiore’s famous lasagna and mac and cheese, Nora cupcakes, Cato Corner cheese, Divine Treasures organic chocolates, Avery soda, and that crazy good Greek yogurt from Hastings Farm, plus a selection of gluten free goodies from Dee’s One Smart Cookie in Glastonbury.
