Celebrating twenty-five years, Stonington Vineyards is about to unveil a freshly renovated tasting room in recognition of this milestone. Take the first peek at their pre-release party on May 17th and 18th, to help christen the new space and release the 2012 Chardonnay and limited production 2013 Gewürztraminer. The south-sloping glacial soils of this 58-acre property are best-known for producing Chardonnay, Seaport White (my favorite!), and Triad Rosé. Tastings are $12 per person and bottles range from a reasonable $12 to $24. Open seven days a week 11am-5pm. Mark your calendar for the Summer Wine and Food Festival on June 14th and 15th (gourmet food trucks, live music, photo booths, and father/child relay races for Father’s Day); Friday Night Summer Concerts on the patio in July and August; and the Annual Harvest Festival on September 20th and 21st.
