You can usually find Tina West furiously knitting away at the Ashlawn Farm cafe, creating stock for the Lyme Artist’s Show or commissions for devoted customers. Her simple pullover sweaters are reminiscent of Icelandic Fair Isles, but her color combinations are signature Tina. The body of the garment is typically neutral, while the vibrant pattern adds pop. Tina sends local Lyme wool to a spinner in Maine, so the sweaters are 100% made in New England. She doesn’t quit at a traditional crew neck either; I spied a cropped bell-sleeve version and a trendy 3/4 sleeve tunic at the Lyme Artists Show, too.
