Bushy Hill Nature Center, Ivoryton
Vacation camp is coming up at Bushy Hill Nature Center in Ivoryton,February 18th to the 22nd. Camp runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The nature center is located on 700+ acres of mixed forested land surrounding a mile-long, spring-fed lake. February camp will feature weather dependent sledding, hikes and outdoor activities such as making maple syrup in their sugarhouse. Children will need day packs (with lunch), hats, gloves, warm socks, shoes and a coat. Register online at www.bushyhill.org or call (860)767-2148.

Camp Hazen Vacation Days, Chester
When school is out, camp is in! Camp Hazen offers a day camp program when the local schools are out. Campers can sign up for single days, or the whole week and each day is themed differently to make coming to camp a new adventure every day.

Action Sports Ski Trips
Hop on an Action Sports bus trip to Okemo or Mt. Snow this winter! From January 5th through March 17th they offer customers the convenience of going skiing or snowboarding on the weekends without the hassle of driving.

When school is out, the Connecticut River Museum is the place to be! Take a hike, create a masterpiece, challenge yourself to a scavenger hunt, or take a cruise up the river on an eagle boat trip.

Tuesday, February 19th: Museum Quest
What treasures live in the Museum? It’s a discovery day to explore the galleries, solve puzzles, create your own I SPY adventures and to challenge you to make masterpieces inspired by the museum collections.

Florence Griswold Museum, Old Lyme
On Sunday, February 10th, at 1:30 pm and 3 pm go learn about Animals in Winter at the Flo Gris! This program is free with museum admission and lead by museum educators from the Pequotsepos Nature Center, Mystic, CT.

Kidcity is really fun and not just for the kids, but for the adults too! That quote came right out of the mouth of Mo’s nephew, followed by: When can we go back? Kidcity is a place where the kids and the adults play and pretend together. Each room has a different theme, from Pirate Ships to Farms, and props to play with that add to the fun.

The Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center, Mashantucket
Free admission for kids! Free admission for children 15 and younger on the first Saturday of the month. Stop by the Gathering Space from 11 am to 3 pm to learn about the history of native doll making while creating your own doll/action figure ($5). A trip to the aquarium is always magical. Mystic Aquarium offers fun and educational programs for children and families. Register for things like the upcoming Weird Science: Saturday, February 16th through Sunday, February 24th during school vacation week. Children’s curiosity comes alive as they witness weird and wonderful science demonstrations by Mystic Aquarium educators.

It’s time for Winter’s Aweigh at the Mystic Seaport when all children ages 17 and younger will receive free Museum admission, starting February 16th through the 24th. On Saturday, February 16, watch Newfoundland dogs perform pulling demonstrations and do their winter work.
