If you’re after a discerning gift, you’ll find it here, among the Floris scents from London (Edwardian Bouquet is a favorite) and lotions (the rose geranium hand cream is a treat at $28.50), the classic tins of Chocolat Chaud and Cire Trudon candles from the oldest candle maker in France. Upstairs you’ll covet those stunning Ted Muehling candlesticks, gorgeous Ann Lightfoot jewels, and Mandy Leiva’s delicate diamonds. Curated is an abused word these days, but is aptly applied here. Every object is a considered choice and unique to the area. You might not think of the Gallery as a kid’s destination but I found my absolute favorite toy here: this adorable mouse circus ($118.50). What kid wouldn’t want to wake up to this on Christmas morning?  The children’s baking, knitting and shop kits (hmmm) from France are super sweet, too.
