The Seven Deadly Sins and Curlew River at Madison Lyric Stage, May 12th – 15th: The Seven Deadly Sins tells the story of Anna, who is sent on a seven-year journey through seven American cities to earn enough money for her family to build a house. Anna is torn between the need to make money and her morals in this “sung ballet” that incorporates both song and dance.

Ukrainian Relief Benefit Concert at Olde Mistick Village, May 22nd, 2 – 4pm, the Mystic String Quartet will perform classical works by Ukrainian, Czech and Estonian composers with all proceeds benefiting Mercy Corps.

Florence Griswold Museum, New Exhibit opens May 21st: Dana Sherwood: Animal Appetites and Other Encounters in Wildness. In her first museum survey Dana Sherwood (b. 1977) exhibits films, sculpture installations, oil and watercolor paintings that interrogate the relationship between wild nature and domestic culture, drawing on her research into cross-species communication, the feminine experience, historic literature, and the occult.
